No. 126/2006 Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 Subordinate Legislation (Firearms Regulations 1997 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2006 The Governor in Council, on the certificate and recommendation of the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, makes the following Regulations: Dated: 26 September 2006 Responsible Minister: TIM HOLDING Minister for Police and Emergency Services RUTH LEACH Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of Firearms Regulations 19971 for the period specified in regulation 3. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994. 3. Extension of operation The operation of the Firearms Regulations 1997 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 21 April 2008. ═══════════════ -- 2 of 3 -- S.R.
