This is so particularly in relation to the identification of children who are involved in criminal proceedings or proceedings for their protection under the Child Protection Act 1999, and complainants in criminal sexual offences, but is not limited to those categories. You may wish to seek legal advice before giving others access to the details of any person named in these proceedings.1 1 4th Floor, The Law Courts, George Street, Brisbane, Q. 4000 Telephone: (07) 3247 4360 Fax: (07) 3247 5532 -- 1 of 2 -- HIS HONOUR: This is an application pursuant to section 40 of the Crimes (Confiscation) Act of 1989 to direct that none of the property of the two respondents be disposed of or otherwise dealt with pending the determination of the hearing those two respondents. The property has been the subject of orders made previously - firstly, by Justice Muir on the 20th of January, 2000; by Justice Atkinson on the 24th of February, 2000; and by myself on the 5th of March, 2002. The orders made then have lapsed because they were not renewed. That has been explained as being due to an administrative oversight. The application is not opposed by the respondents, and in the circumstances it seems appropriate that a new order be made extending the term of that restraint to the 30th of June, 2003. , By that time the charges against the two respondents ought reasonably to be disposed of. I I will therefore make orders, by consent, in terms of the draft initialled by me and placed with the papers. 13122002 D.l T6/AW M/T CNS1/2002 (Jones J) 2 JUDGMENT -- 2 of 2 --
