Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1983
Parole Orders (Transfer) Regulations 2004
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to specify
corresponding courts for the purposes of section 9
of the Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1983.
2. Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 9 and
13 of the Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1983.
3. Revocation
The Parole Orders (Transfer) Regulations 19941
are revoked.

4. Corresponding courts
For the purposes of section 9 of the Parole
Orders (Transfer) Act 1983—
(a) the Supreme Court of Victoria is the
corresponding court to the Supreme Court of
any State or Territory which has passed a
law declared to be a corresponding law under
section 3 of the Parole Orders (Transfer)
Act 1983;
(b) the County Court of Victoria is the
corresponding Court to the District Court,
County Court, or other Court having
intermediate jurisdiction between a Supreme
Court and a court of summary jurisdiction, of
any State or Territory which has passed a
law declared to be a corresponding law under
section 3 of the Parole Orders (Transfer)
Act 1983;
(c) the Magistrates' Court of Victoria is the
corresponding court to a court of summary
jurisdiction in any State or Territory which
has passed a law declared to be a
corresponding law under section 3 of the
Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1983.
