No. 128/2004 Prostitution Control Act 1994 Prostitution Control (Amendment) Regulations 2004 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 26 October 2004 Responsible Minister: JOHN LENDERS Minister for Consumer Affairs DIANE CASEY Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Prostitution Control Regulations 1995 to— (a) revoke redundant provisions; and (b) make consequential and other minor amendments. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 68 and 90 of the Prostitution Control Act 1994. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 November 2004. -- 2 of 5 -- Victorian Legislation Parliamentary Documents S.R. No. 128/2004 Prostitution Control (Amendment) Regulations 2004 2 4. Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Prostitution Control Regulations 1995 1 are called the Principal Regulations. 5. Consequential amendment to objectives In regulation 1 of the Principal Regulations— (a) paragraph (a) is revoked; (b) in paragraph (d), for "Board" substitute "Authority"; (c) in paragraph (e), omit "and renewals"; (d) in paragraph (h), for "certificates; and" substitute "certificates."; (e) paragraph (i) is revoked. 6. Revocation of definition In regulation 4(1) of the Principal Regulations, the definition of "approved manager" is revoked. 7. Revocation of Part II—abolished Board Part II of the Principal Regulations is revoked. 8. Revocation of licence application Regulation 12 of the Principal Regulations is revoked. 9. Licence fees Regulation 13 of the Principal Regulations is revoked. 10. Revocation of further matters relevant to suitability of applicants Regulation 14(2) of the Principal Regulations is revoked. r. 4 -- 3 of 5 -- Victorian Legislation Parliamentary Documents S.R. Recalculation of licence fee Regulation 16 of the Principal Regulations is revoked. 13. Fees for applications for approval of managers Regulation 17 of the Principal Regulations is revoked. 14. References to Board In regulations 10(1) and (2) and 19(7) of the Principal Regulations for "Board" substitute "Authority". 15. Amendments to Schedule (1) Forms 1 and 2 in the Schedule to the Principal Regulations are revoked. (2) In Form 3 in the Schedule to the Principal Regulations— (a) for "section 55(1)" substitute "*section 24/section 55(1)"; (b) for "Prostitution Control Board" substitute "Business Licensing Authority"; (c) at the foot of the form insert "*Delete if inapplicable". ═══════════════ r. 11 -- 4 of 5 -- Victorian Legislation Parliamentary Documents S.R.
