Case law · Queensland · 1999
LAND COURT BRISBANE 30 APRIL 1999 Re: AV98-447, 451, 452, 455, 456 – Appeals against Unimproved Valuations – Inglewood Shire Lesley J Cooper and Ors v. Chief Executive, Department of Natural Resources (Hearings at Inglewood) D E C I S I O N S In these appeals the parties agreed that should the appeal in the matter AV98- 448 (PC & TA Pallett) be allowed and that valuation reduced, then these appeals should also be allowed and the valuations reduced by a similar percentage. In the alternative, if the Pallett appeal was disallowed, then these appeals should also be disallowed. The beforementioned appeal was allowed for the reasons given in the decision published today, a copy of which is attached hereto. The valuation in that matter was reduced from $16,000 to $14,000 – a reduction of 12.5%. It follows that in each of the following appeals, the appeals are allowed, the decision of the chief executive set aside and the unimproved valuations as at 1 October 1997 are determined as follows: AV98-447 – Leslie J Cooper – Lot 12, RP 203100 – 16.2 ha – valuation appealed against $16,000 – Determination $14,000. AV98-451 – Wolff and Magda von Tucher – Lots 29 and 30, RP 203071 – 80 ha – valuation appealed against $26,000 – Determination $22,750. AV98-452 – Donald and Ann E Drennert – Lot 10, RP 203100 – 16.2 ha – valuation appealed against $16,000 – Determination $14,000. [1999] QLC 44 -- 1 of 2 -- 2 AV98-455 – Kathy-Ann M Cook – Lot 27, RP 203071 – 40 ha – valuation appealed against $19,500 – Determination $17,000.
