144 QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT INDUSTRIAL GAZETTE 19 February, 1999 ########################################################################################################################### QUEENSLAND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS COMMISSION Workplace Relations Act 1997 - s. 127 application for variation Austr.dian Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union, Queensland Branch, Union of Employees AND Queensland Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited, Industrial Organisation of Employers (B984 of 1997) FUNERAL SERVICES A WARD - STATE COMMISSIONER EDWARDS 7 December 1998 VARIATION THlS matter coming on for hearing before the Commission at Brisbane on 7 December 1998 this Commission doth order that the said Award be varied as follows as from the seventh day of December 1998:- l. In clause 6 {Wages) by:- (a) deleting subclause (1) and inserting the following in lieu thereof:- ''(1) The minimum weekly wage rate payable to adults shall be as follows:- Funeral Services Employee Grade I 82.0% Funeral Services Employee Grade 2 87.4% Funeral Services Employee Grade 3 92.4% Funeral Services Employee Grade 4 96.0% Funeral Services Employee Grade 5 100.0% Excess Payment Per Week $ 11.80 1.60* Wages Per Week $ 390.10 412.60 433.50 448.50 465.20 19 February, 1999 QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT INDUSTRIAL GAZETTE 145 Funeral Conductors employed at Level 3 only entitled to excess payment of $1.60. The rates of pay in the A ward include the arbitrated Safety Net Adjustment payable under the 1 September 1998 Declaration of General Ruling and earlier Safety Net Adjustments. Where an employee has received a wage increase in excess of the total $34 Safety Net Adjustments ma.de available since 1 f-!ebruary 1992, that increase may be set off against the wage rate prescribed in this Award. The payments which may be set off include wages payable pursuant to certified agreements, currently operating enterprise flexibility agreemtmts, Queensland workplace agreements, award variations to give effect to enterprise agreements and overaward arrangements. Absorption which is contrary to the terms of an agreement is not required. Increases made under previous State Wage Case decisions or under the current Statement of Principles, excepting those resulting from enterprise agreements, are not to be used to offset arbitrated Safety Net Adjustments."; (b) in subdause (4) by deleting the expression "$15.04" and inserting the expression "$15.84" in lieu thereof; (c) in subclause (5) by deleting the expression "$12.54" and inserting the expression "$13.20" in lieu thereof: (d) in subclause (6) by deleting the expression "$18.81" and inserting the expression "$ I 9 .81'' in lieu thereof; (e) in subclause (7) by deleting the expression "$93.50" and inserting the expression "$98.45" in lieu thereof; (1) in subclause (8) by deleting the expression "$7.04" and inserting the expression "$7.41" in lieu thereof; (g) in subclause (10) by deleting the expression "$27.66" and inserting the expression "$29.13" in lieu thereof." 2. In clause 14 (Stand-by Duty):- (a) by deleting from subclause (I) the amount of "$10.00" and inserting the amount of "$11.33" in lieu thereof; and (b) by deleting from subclause (3) the amount of "$30.00" and inserting the amount of "$34.00" in lieu thereof.
