employee mu.,1 give at least one week's notice or forfeit a week's pay i n
lieu.
(2) Notice By Empl,>yer
To lt'rminate the contract of employment an employer m\lSI give a
full-time or pa11-timc employee the following notice or paymen t of the
�quiv:iknt in lieu -
(a) if the employee's contin uous servi<:" i.s:
(i) O(lt more than onc year: I week;
(ii) more than one year l>ttt not more than three years: 2 weeks;
(iii) nmre than three yc.ars but not more than five years: 3 weeks:
(iv) more than five year�: 4 weeks.
(b) The period of notice is to be i ncreased by one week if the
e.mployec -
(i) is over 45 years of age: and
(ii) h,L, cmnplclcd at least two years continuou., service with the
employer.
(c) Such n(�ice .shall n<>t he required in cases of dishonesty.

Employce, oth.:r than casual or part-time employees shall be deemed

provided by this Award.
(.5) Part-Time Ernploymcnl
A p:111-1ime cmplnyc:e ms,ans a w�ekly employee who is engaged to
W<•rk an agr�ed minimum number of hours k,s than 38 hours per week
with a mi111mum ,·ngagemwt of three (3) hour.s per occa.$ion. The
onlm;iry hours of a pan time employee $hall not cxcctd 8 hours per Jay or
I O h,,ur< per ,fay with the agreement of the employee.
Except as in hcrc:inaiter provided, all conditions provided for
pormancn1 full-time employees shall apply to part-time employees.

(8) Where a public holiday falls on a day on which a part-time
�mployee is normally rostered to _work that employee shall be paid at the
appropriate rate for the 11umber of hours sn rostcred.
(9) Overtime i.s payable lo pan-time employee.< who work in excc,ss
of ordinary working hours.

Casual employees shall be paid at 1he raw of on�•1h.irty-cigh1h of the
weekly rate pre.scribed for th<1 classificatio n plus 19% loading. Where the
rate.< prescrih-,d by this Award are time and one half an d douhle time,
,a.,ual employees .shall be paid al the rate of 169o/c and 219% of the
relevant pem1anent rate respecti "e ly.
(I 2)Casual employee.< will he engaged for a minimum <>f twn hour.,
per �ngagcmcrll or rec.,ive a minimum paymen1 of two h,)urs per
engagement.".
