No. 148/2003 Estate Agents Act 1980 Estate Agents (Contracts) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 16 December 2003 Responsible Minister: JOHN LENDERS Minister for Consumer Affairs SUDHA KASYNATHAN Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Estate Agents (Contracts) Regulations 1997 to delete from the "IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PURCHASERS" contained in the contract note and in the contract of sale of real estate, the property price exception from the cooling-off period. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 99 of the Estate Agents Act 1980. 3. Amendment to Form 1 in the Schedule In Form 1 in the Schedule to the Estate Agents (Contracts) Regulations 19971 omit— "• The price of the property (including chattels) exceeds $250 000". 5.
