, 1 T HIS mailer coming on fo r hearing before the Commission at
Brisbane on 12 April and 15 August 1995, this Commission doth
order that the said Award be varied as follows as from the eighth day
of May, 1995:-
By deleting subclause ( I) of clause 3.4 (Wages) and inserting the
following lieu thereof:-
"3.4 Wages
( I) Subject to clause 3.3 hereof, the minimum weekly wage to
be paid to employees in the Eastern District of the Southern Division
shall be as follows:-

Excess Payments Employees employed in the
classification of Optical Employee Grade I shall receive an excess
payment of$4 .60 per week. Such amount is not to be adjusted.
The rates of pay in this Award include the first $8 per week
arbitrated safety net adjustment payable under the November 1994
State Wage Case decision. Increases made under previous State
Wage Case principles or under the current Statement of Principles
are not to be used to offset a rb itrated safety net adjustmenl5. This
first $8 per week arbitrated safety net adjustment may be offset to
the extent of any other wage increase, whether an award increase, an
overaward payment or an increase by way of enterprise arrangement.
