By deleting subclause (2) of clause 3.3 Wages and inserting the
following in lieu thereof:-

Note: The Award rate includes the second tier, REP March
1987, SEP October 1989 - 1st and 2nd Payments, SEA
July 199 L First and Second S8.00 Safety Net Increases,
State Wage Case Increases.
The Additional Payment at each classification level
represents a$ l 6.00 adjustment reflecting the application
of the first and second arbi trated safety net adjustments
en unciated in the December, l 994 Sta te Wage Case
Decision. Consistent with the requirements of that
principle the two $8.00 Safety Ne t Adjustments are
absorbable to the exten t of any equivalent amount in
rates of pay - whed1er overaward, award, in dustria l
agreement or certifi ed agreement - excess of the
minimum rates, prescribed in accordance with th e
October, 1989 and December. 1994 State Wage Case
Decision ." .
