By deleting suhclausc ( l ) of clause 34 (Wages) and inserting the

** In addition to the C 14 rate a surplus amount of $4.20 sh all
be paid, such surplus amount being non-adjustable.
The rates of pay in this Award include the first and second SS
per week arbitrated safe ty net adjustments payable under the
November 1994 Sta te Wage Case decision. Increases made under
previous State Wage Case principles or under the cun-ent Statement
of Principles are not to be used to offset arbitrated safety net
adjustments. The first and second S8 per week arbitrated safety net
adjustments may be offset to the extent of any other wage increase,
whether an award increase, an overaward payment or an increase by
way of enterprise agreement. received since I February 19 92. Pre
February 1992 overaward arrangements are to be applied according
lo thei r tenns.
Overaward Payment - Overaward payment is defined as the
amount in rates of pay which an emp loyee would rece ive in excess
of the minimum award wage as prescribed in this Award for the
classification in which s uch employee is engaged which ap plied
immediately prior to the date of operation of this variation.
The percenta ge relativi ties relate to percentages applying before
the application of the first and second S8 arbitrated safety net
adj ustme nts made in accordance with the February and November
1994 Review of Wage Fixing Principles and payable under th e
Novem ber 1994 State Wage Case decision .''
