Such supplementary payment is absorbable to the extent of equivalent overaward payments where such payments are being made. The total award rate includes the first and second $8.00 Safety Nt:t Adjustments and also includes increases in accordance with Second Tier March 1987, SEP Octohi!r 1989 - first and seco11d payments and the SEA July 1991 wage increases, bruadbanding and the minimum rates process. The percentage relativities are based on a base rate and supplementary payment totalling $41 7 .20 per \~eek at level 5. * The supplementar) payment at each classification level includes first and second $8.00 adjustments reflecting the application of the arbitrated safety net adjustment prmcipk enunciated in the february and November 1994 Review of Wage Fixing Principles. Conshtent with the requirements of that Principle the $8.00 safety net adjustments are absorbable to the extent of any equivalent amount in rates of pay - whdher oyeraward, award. industrial agreement or certified agreement - in excess of the minimum rates (classification rate and supplementary payment) prescribed in accordance with the October 1989 Stat, Wage Cise decision and adjusted in accordance with the July 1991 Stille Wage Case decision. 'Overaward Payment" is defined as the amount (whether it be termed 'overaward payment', 'attendance bonus', 'service increment' or any term whatsoever) which an emph)yec would receive in excess of the 'Award Wage' winch applied immediately prior to the date of operation of any broadhanding or minimum rates udjustment awarded by the Commission for the classification 111 which the emplo)ee is engaged: Prov 1ded that such payment shall exclude overtime shift allowances, penalty rates. allowances. fares and travelling time allowan.:es and any other ancillary payment of a like nature prescribed hy this Award.".
