No. 86/2003 Major Events (Crowd Management) Act 2003 Major Events (Crowd Management) Regulations 2003 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 8 July 2003 Responsible Minister: JUSTIN MADDEN Minister for Sport and Recreation HELEN DOYE Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe the form of infringement notice to be issued for an offence under the Act. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 28 of the Major Events (Crowd Management) Act 2003. 3. Definition In these Regulations— "the Act" means the Major Events (Crowd Management) Act 2003. -- 2 of 3 -- S.R. No. 86/2003 Major Events (Crowd Management) Regulations 2003 2 4. Prescribed form of infringement notice In addition to the information required by section 19 of the Act, an infringement notice is in the prescribed form if it is in writing and states— (a) that it is an infringement notice; and (b) the date on which the notice is issued; and (c) the number of the notice; and (d) the name and address (if known) of the person alleged to have committed the offence; and (e) the date and approximate time and place of commission of the alleged offence; and (f) a brief description of the alleged offence which adequately identifies the alleged offence committed under section 14(1) of the Act; and (g) the name and signature of the member of the police force who issued the notice; and (h) the date for the payment of the penalty. ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 3 --
