Titl e Th is Agreement shall be known as the AD IA/ ETU - Industrial Agreement. 2. Parties to the Agreement The parties to this Agreement are ADIA Industrial Pty Ltd and The Electrical Trades Union of Employees of Australia, Queensland Br an ch. 3. Definitions Company - ADIA Industrial Pty Ltd. Union - The Electric al Trades Union of Employees of Australia. Queensland Branch. Electricity Supply Industry - Th e Queensland Generation Corporation (QGC) and all subs id ia r ies , an d the Quee ns land Trans mis sion Supply Corporati on (QTSC} and all subs id iar ies. Use of Contracts Agreement - Electricity Supply Industry - Us e of Con tractors - Indust rial Agreement. Employees - Em ployees of /\DIA Ind us tria l Pty Ltd, wh il st performing work fo r the Electricity Supply Indu str y. 4. Dale and Period of Op eration This Agreement sha ll operate from the date of signing by the Parties. It shall rema in in force for a period of two (2) years. 6. Objective of the Ag ree ment The aim of this Agreement is to facilitate the sup pl y of short tenn ca su al labour supplied by th e Company to the Ele ctrici ty Supply Industry, in li ne with the provisions of the Use of Contractors Agreemenl. 7. Union Me mbership, Wa ges and Condi tions (I) The Company recognises The Electrical Trades Union of Empl oyees of Australia, Queensland Branch as having rep re sentative and preference rights for all employees perfonning work in th e Ek ctricity Supply Indu stry fo r the Compan y. (2) The Co mpany will provide payro ll deduction fac il ities fo r paym en t of union dues for employees working under this Agreement a nd performing work fo r t he Electricity Supply Industry. (3) Whilst pe rforming work for th e Electricity Supply Industry, all em ployees sha ll be paid no le ss than t he rates of pay and allowances as provided for under the Electrical Contracting Award - State. (4) The pro vi sions of s 2.3 " Con tract Documents'', in th e Use of Co ntractors Agreement shall app ly to all employees performing work in the Electricity Supply Indu stry. Rates of pay will l>e a ppropria tely adjusted where s. 2.3( I )(b) applies (hours of work). 8. G rieva n ce Proce dures Subject to t he Industrial Relations Ac1 I 990, a ny grievan ce or dispute affecting th e working condition s of employees or any other indu,trial matter pertaining to the relations be tween the Company an d employees shall be dea lt with in the following manner:- Ste p I -· Employees sha ll discuss any grievance with their immediate supervisor or, if they so wi sh, have their representative d is cuss such grievance on th eir be hal f. Ste p 2 - If no settlement of the griev an ce is reached at Step I, the matter ,hall be discussed between the employees and/or their representative/s (if app li ca ble) and the relevant Company's representative thereof. Step 3 - If no agreement is reached with 24 hours of action in accordance w it h St ep 2 (excluding weekends and agreed days oft) the matter sha ll be reported to the Union and the Company's regional manager for their joint consideration. Step 4 - In the event that a settlement of the matter cannot be reached at Step 3, it shall be notified to the Industrial Relations Co mm ission in accordance with the provisions of the Industr ia l Relations Act 1990. All parties w ill carry o ut their o bl igations under t his procedure as expeditiously as poss ibl e. 9. Renewal of Agree ment Three (3) months prior to the expiry date of this Agreement, the parties agree to commence negotiations to detem1in e an appropriate course of action to renew or replace this Agreement.
