The award ra te i ncludes all increa;es and adjustments arising as a result oi the Seco nd Tier, 1st and 2nd structural efficiency payment and structural efiiciency adjustment. Consistent with the requirements oi that principle the $8 .00 safety net adjustment 1s 6 May, 1994] QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT INDUSTRIAL GAZETTE absorbable to the extent of any equivalen t amount in rates of pay _ whether overaward, award, industrial agreement or certified agreement - in excess of the minimum r ates (classification ra te and supplementary payment) prescribed in accordance w ith the October 1989 Sta te Wage Case decision and adju sted in accordance with the Ju ly 1991 State Wage Case decision. ·ove raward ' Payment is defined as the amount in ra te s of pay which an employee would receive in excess of the min,mum award wage as prescribed in this Awa rd for the classification in which such employee is engaged which applied immediately pr ior to the da te of operation of this variation: Provided that this definition shall exclude overtim e, sh ift al lowances, pena tly rates, expense related allowances, industry allowances, disability allowances, vacation al lowances, special rates or allowances, responsibil ity al lowan ces, or any other anc 1lla1y payments of a li ke nature described by this Awa rd'.
