Such ex cess paymen t shall not have any su bsequ en t percentage b ased wage increase applied to i t. ( 2) The n ew cl ass ification structure expre ss es the in te rim total rate payabl e, being the combi na tion of the base ra te (including broadb an ding adjustments), the first minimum rates ad justment and the $8.00 Safety Net Adju stment. Such mi n imum rates ad ju stment i s to be ab sorbed into overaward payments where such pa yments are being made. The interim total ra tes for class i ii cat i ons marked w ith an ateri sk (• ) are compri sed oi a current nati onal rate together w ith a sepa rately expr essed fi rs t of four equal minimum ra tes adjustmen ts . Appendix A attached to this Award li sts amo un ts involved i n broadbandi ng. Such amounts are to be absorb ed to th e exten t of equivale nt overaward paymen ts . 'Overaward Pa yment' is de fi n ed as the amo unt (w hether it be termed 'overaward paymen t', 'attendance bo nus', ' se rvi ce i ncremen t' or any te rm wh atsoever) w hich an emp! oyee wou ld r ece ive in exc ess of the award wage which appli ed im media tely prior to the date of op era tion of any broadbanding or min imu m r ates ad j us tment awarded by the Commission for the cl ass iiication in wh ich the empl oyee is engaged: Pr ov ided that such paymen t sha ll excl ude overtime shift all owances, penalty ra tes, al lowances, far es and travelli ng time all owances and any other anc ill ary p ayment oi a like nature pr esc ri b ed by 1hi s Aw ard.
