By deleting clauses I (Wages) and 2 {Allowances) and Appendix
I of Schedule 5 (Sugar Industry and inserting the following in lieu
thereof:-

Employees working in hot effets. <>r in hot flues, or in hot
boi lers, or in hot combustion chambers of mill boilers, or in hot fire
boxes or mill boilers, or in hot fire boxes of mill boilers, or in hot
vacuum pans during the crushing season or whi lst such places are
still hot shall be entitl ed to be paid double the ordinary rates
prescribed by this Award:
Provided that the rates for Wet Hot or Noxious Gas Fumes
(dause 3.5(4)), Confined Space (clause 3.5(7)), Din Money (clause
3.5(9)) and Repair Work (clause 3.5(31)) shall be not paid in
addit ion:
Provided further that employees required to carry out this work
during overtime hours at week-.,nds during the crushi ng season shall
be entitled to ordinary time ex1ra in addition to the double time
payment.
2. O rcular Bagasse Bins
Circular Bagasse Bins - Cms hing Season - Employees who
during the crushing season are required to perform work below the
level of the top catwalk in ci rcular bagasse bins for periods of time in
e~cess of those li sted bd ow are to be pa id at the rate of si ng k time
extra, in addition to the prevai l ing rate , for the actual time involved
in such work on each occas ion:
During cnishing operations -- a minimum peri od or JO
minutes on a11y occasion :
During non-cmshing opera11on s - a minimum p.:riod of
20 minutes on any occasion:
Provided that the rates for Wet Hot or Noxi ous Gas f umes
