These matters comprise an application made pursuant to s. ll J (IXb) of the Industrial Rela11ons A c1 /988 (Commonwealth) and an application under s. 10 . I of the !ndus1ria/ Relarions A c 1 }990-199/ (Queensland) for entervrise bargaini ng awards l0 be made consistent wit h both sections of such ac ts to give effect to an agreement negotiated between the parties. Both awards are to operale al Able Cooke. a division of Ajax Cooke Pty. Ltd., Hilda Ro ad , Hamilto n, Queens land. It was submitted that the agreement has l:,een negNiated through a single bargaining un it representative of all unions operating at the site and the parties have demonstrated that a broad agenda was .:onsidered in the development of the consent award. Measures designed to achieve real and demonstrable gains in productivity. efficiency and llexibility have been imp lem ented and indicated to this Commission during today's proceedings. Mr Ian Hill, State Sales Manager of the company, made submiss ions in suppor1 of the appl ication and outlined the measures taken nnd to be under1aken 10 achieve gains in product ivity and quality when the agreement is in operation. Having regard to the material and evidence presented, the Commission is satisfied that the proposed consent awards meet the requirements of the October 1991 National Wage Case, enterprise bargain ing princi ples, and the January 1992 State Wage Case.
