No. 124/2003 Travel Agents Act 1986 Travel Agents (Amendment) Regulations 2003 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 28 October 2003 Responsible Minister: JOHN LENDERS Minister for Consumer Affairs SUDHA KASYNATHAN Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objectives The objectives of these Regulations are to amend the Travel Agents Regulations 1997 to— (a) prescribe further particulars for the purpose of section 8 of the Travel Agents Act 1986; and (b) revoke a regulation prescribing a form which is no longer required. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 48 of the Travel Agents Act 1986. 3. Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Travel Agents Regulations 19971 are called the Principal Regulations. 5. Additional information by applicants that are bodies corporate After regulation 9(d)(xii) of the Principal Regulations insert— "(xiii) the date of appointment of the director;". 6. Particulars regarding persons in charge of business premises After regulation 10(k) of the Principal Regulations insert— "(l) the date the person commenced or will commence being present and in charge of the day-to-day conduct of the travel agency business.". 7. Form and particulars in the register of the Authority (1) Regulation 16 of the Principal Regulations is revoked.
