No. 21/2003 Water Industry Act 1994 Water Industry (Prescribed Persons) Regulations 2003 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 24 February 2003 Responsible Minister: JOHN THWAITES Minister for Water HELEN DOYE Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe the persons who may bring proceedings for offences against a provision of Divisions 4 and 6 of Part 4 of the Water Industry Act 1994 or regulations made for the purposes of those provisions. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 179 and 184 of the Water Industry Act 1994. 3. Revocation The Water Industry (Melbourne Parks and Waterways - Prescribed Persons) Regulations 19951 are revoked. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 21/2003 Water Industry (Prescribed Persons) Regulations 2003 2 4. Prescribed persons For the purposes of section 179(1) of the Water Industry Act 1994 a person who is an authorised officer appointed under section 83 of the Conservation, Forests and Lands Act 1987 for the purposes of Part 4 and section 184(2) and (3) of the Water Industry Act 1994 is a prescribed person for the purposes of bringing proceedings for offences against a provision of Part 4 of the Water Industry Act 1994 or under regulations made under that Part. ═══════════════ r. 5 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
