No. 126/2002 County Court Act 1958 County Court (Chapter I Amendment No. 9) Rules 2002 A majority of the Judges of the County Court makes the following Rules: 1. Object The object of these Rules is to make miscellaneous amendments to the Principal Rules. 2. Authorising provisions These Rules are made under section 78 of the County Court Act 1958 and all other enabling powers. 3. Commencement These Rules come into operation on 1 January 2003. 4. Principal Rules In these Rules, the County Court Rules of Procedure in Civil Proceedings 19991 are called the Principal Rules. 5. Marking a document or a copy of a document with the seal of the Court In Rule 28.04(3) of the Principal Rules for "Making" substitute "Marking". -- 2 of 5 -- S.R. Costs consequences of failure to accept offer In Rule 26.08(2) of the Principal Rules, for "on a solicitor and client basis" (where twice occurring) substitute "on an indemnity basis". 7. Amendment of Form 42F In Form 42F to the Principal Rules, in note 2 of the Further Notes, for "If you have any objection to producing the documents or to their being inspected by any one or more of the parties to the proceeding, you must notify the Prothonotary" substitute "If you object to the documents being inspected by another party to the proceeding, you must notify the Registrar".
