No. 88/2002 Road Safety Act 1986 Road Safety (General) (Infringements) Regulations 2002 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 24 September 2002 Responsible Minister: PETER BATCHELOR Minister for Transport HELEN DOYE Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (General) Regulations 1999 to provide for new traffic infringements in respect of— (a) the use of certain unregistered vehicles on highways; and (b) the ownership of certain unregistered vehicles used on highways. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 October 2002. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. New traffic infringements in respect of the use and ownership of certain unregistered vehicles In Schedule 4 to the Road Safety (General) Regulations 1999 1 — (a) the entry in respect of Code 2124 is revoked; (b) after the entry in respect of code 2129 insert— "2601 Own or use unregistered motor cycle with engine capacity of 60cc or less RSA 7 110 2602 Own or use unregistered motor cycle with engine capacity of 61cc or more but less than 501cc RSA 7 300 2603 Own or use unregistered motor cycle with engine capacity of 501cc or more RSA 7 400 2604 Own or use an unregistered trailer that is not a heavy vehicle RSA 7 110 2605 Own or use an unregistered trailer that is a heavy vehicle with 1 axle RSA 7 400 2606 Own or use an unregistered trailer that is a heavy vehicle with 2 axles RSA 7 700 2607 Own or use an unregistered trailer that is a heavy vehicle with 3 or more axles RSA 7 900". ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
