No. 2/2001 Country Fire Authority Act 1958 Country Fire Authority (Amendment) Regulations 2001 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 23 January 2001 Responsible Minister: ANDRE HAERMEYER Minister for Police and Emergency Services HELEN DOYE Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Country Fire Authority Regulations 1992 by— (a) replacing references to the Chairman of the Country Fire Authority with references to the Chief Executive Officer of that Authority; and (b) making other minor technical amendments. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 110 of the Country Fire Authority Act 1958. 3. Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Country Fire Authority Regulations 1992 1 are called the Principal Regulations. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 2/2001 Country Fire Authority (Amendment) Regulations 2001 2 4. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 29 January 2001. 5. Amendment of references to Chairman (1) In regulation 23 of the Principal Regulations, for "Chairman" substitute "Chief Executive Officer". (2) In regulation 24(6)(a) of the Principal Regulations, for "Chairman" substitute "Chief Executive Officer". (3) In regulation 26 of the Principal Regulations— (a) in sub-regulation (2), for "Chairman" substitute "Chief Executive Officer"; (b) in sub-regulation (4), for "Chairman" substitute "Chief Executive Officer". 6. Amendment of redundant references in regulation 27 In regulation 27 of the Principal Regulations— (a) for "Appeal Tribunal" (wherever occurring) substitute "Country Fire Authority Appeals Commission"; (b) for "section 74B(1)(b)" (where twice occurring) substitute "section 74I(b)"; (c) for "Chairman" (where twice occurring) substitute "Chief Executive Officer". ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
