No. 84/2001 Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981 Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Commonwealth Standard) Regulations 2001 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 28 August 2001 Responsible Minister: JOHN THWAITES Minister for Health HELEN DOYE Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe the document that is the Commonwealth standard for the purposes of the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 4(1) and 132 of the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981. 3. Revocation The Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Commonwealth Standard) Regulations 19951 are revoked. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. Commonwealth standard For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of "Commonwealth standard" in section 4(1) of the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981, the current Poisons Standard within the meaning of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 of the Commonwealth, as in force from time to time, is prescribed to be the Commonwealth standard. ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
