Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Equipment (Public Safety) (General) Regulations 1995 to incorporate Australian Standard "AS 4343 Pressure Equipment—Hazard Levels". 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 36 of the Equipment (Public Safety) Act 1994. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 15 June 2001. 4. Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Equipment (Public Safety) (General) Regulations 19951 are called the Principal Regulations. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. New Hazard Standards In regulation 104(1) of the Principal Regulations— (a) in the definition of "boiler" for "AS 3920 Part 1, Pressure Equipment Manufacture— Assurance of Product Quality" substitute "AS 4343, Pressure Equipment—Hazard Levels"; and (b) in the definition of "pressure piping" for "AS 3920 Part 1, Pressure Equipment Manufacture—Assurance of Product Quality" substitute "AS 4343, Pressure Equipment—Hazard Levels"; and (c) in the definition of "pressure vessel" for "AS 3920 Part 1, Pressure Equipment Manufacture—Assurance of Product Quality" substitute "AS 4343, Pressure Equipment—Hazard Levels". ═══════════════ r. 5 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
