No. 167/2001 Gaming and Betting Act 1994 Gaming and Betting (Betting) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 18 December 2001 Responsible Minister: JOHN PANDAZOPOULOS Minister for Gaming HELEN DOYE Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to insert a new definition of "rules of racing" in the Gaming and Betting (Betting) Regulations 1994. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 142 of the Gaming and Betting Act 1994. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 19 December 2001. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. Amendment to the Definitions In regulation 6 of the Gaming and Betting (Betting) Regulations 19941 , for the definition of "rules of racing", substitute— ' "rules of racing" means the rules for the time being in force of Racing Victoria within the meaning of the Racing Act 1958, Harness Racing Victoria or Greyhound Racing Victoria (as the case may be);'. ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
