No. 53/2001 Occupational Health and Safety Act 1985 Occupational Health and Safety (Plant) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 12 June 2001 Responsible Minister: BOB CAMERON Minister for WorkCover HELEN DOYE Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Occupational Health and Safety (Plant) Regulations 1995 to incorporate Australian Standard "AS 4343 Pressure Equipment—Hazard Levels". 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 59 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1985. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 15 June 2001. 4. Principal Regulations -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 53/2001 Occupational Health and Safety (Plant) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 2 In these Regulations, the Occupational Health and Safety (Plant) Regulations 19951 are called the Principal Regulations. 5. New Hazard Standards (1) In regulation 105(1) of the Principal Regulations— (a) in the definition of "boiler" for "AS 3920 Part 1, Pressure Equipment Manufacture— Assurance of Product Quality" substitute "AS 4343, Pressure Equipment—Hazard Levels"; and (b) in the definition of "pressure piping" for "AS 3920 Part 1, Pressure Equipment Manufacture—Assurance of Product Quality" substitute "AS 4343, Pressure Equipment—Hazard Levels"; and (c) in the definition of "pressure vessel" for "AS 3920 Part 1, Pressure Equipment Manufacture—Assurance of Product Quality" substitute "AS 4343, Pressure Equipment—Hazard Levels". (2) In Schedule 2 of the Principal Regulations, for "AS 3920—Part 1, Pressure Equipment Manufacture—Assurance of Product Quality" (wherever occurring) substitute "AS 4343, Pressure Equipment—Hazard Levels". ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
