No. 27/2000 Magistrates' Court Act 1989 Magistrates' Court General (Amendment) Regulations 2000 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 11 April 2000 Responsible Minister: ROB HULLS Attorney-General STACEY ROBERTSON Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objectives The objectives of these Regulations are— (a) to prescribe a further provision under which infringement notices may be issued in order that the enforcement procedure under Schedule 7 to the Act may be used; and (b) to provide a prescribed person for the purposes of clause 8A(2)(b) of Schedule 7 to the Act. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 140(1) of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 12 April 2000. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Magistrates' Court General Regulations 19901 are called the Principal Regulations. 5. Further provision under which infringement notices may be issued In regulation 1103 of the Principal Regulations, after paragraph (b), insert— "(ba) section 68(1) of the Electricity Safety Act 1998;". 6. New regulation 1108 inserted After regulation 1107 of the Principal Regulations insert— "1108. Enforcement against body corporate— prescribed person may state that a person was a director For the purposes of clause 8A(2)(b) of Schedule 7 to the Act, a person taken to be appointed as deputy sheriff under section 107 of the Supreme Court Act 1986 is a prescribed person.". ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
