No. 96/2000 Road Safety Act 1986 Road Safety (General) (Loading Zone Penalty) Regulations 2000 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 26 September 2000 Responsible Minister: PETER BATCHELOR Minister for Transport HELEN DOYE Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to increase the infringement penalty for stopping in a loading zone from $60 to $100. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986. 3. Loading zone infringement penalty In Schedule 3 to the Road Safety (General) Regulations 1999 1 — (a) omit clause 4(a)(iii); and -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 96/2000 Road Safety (General) (Loading Zone Penalty) Regulations 2000 2 (b) after clause 6(c) insert— "(ca) in a loading zone contrary to RR 179(1); or (cb) in a loading zone for longer than the permitted time contrary to RR 179(2); or". ═══════════════ r. 3 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
