No. 68/2000 Zoological Parks and Gardens Act 1995 Zoological Parks and Gardens (Administration) (Charges) Regulations 2000 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 4 July 2000 Responsible Minister: SHERRYL GARBUTT Minister for Environment and Conservation HELEN DOYE Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Zoological Parks and Gardens (Administration) Regulations 1992 to increase the charges payable for entry to the Sir Colin MacKenzie Zoological Park, the Royal Melbourne Zoological Gardens and to Victoria's Open Range Zoo at Werribee. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 41 and 49 of the Zoological Parks and Gardens Act 1995. 3. Charges for entry to Board properties For Schedules 1 and 2 to the Zoological Parks and Gardens (Administration) Regulations 1992 1 substitute— 'SCHEDULE 1 ENTRY CHARGES FOR SIR COLIN MACKENZIE ZOOLOGICAL PARK AND ROYAL MELBOURNE ZOOLOGICAL GARDENS Item Visitor Category Sir Colin MacKenzie Zoological Park Royal Melbourne Zoological Gardens 1 Adult (16 years of age or more) $16.40 $16.40 2 Child (under 16 years of age) $8.10 $8.10 3 Physically or intellectually disabled child under 16 years of age $3.90 $3.90 4 Person on official group visit from a pre-school, primary school or secondary school $8.10 $8.10 5 Full time student (other than a person referred to in item 4) on presentation of proof of full time enrolment in secondary school or post secondary educational institution $12.20 $12.20 6 Pensioner on presentation of a current pensioner or Health care card issued by the Australian Government $12.20 $12.20 7 Holder of a Senior Savings card issued by the Victorian Government $12.20 $12.20 r. 4 -- 3 of 6 -- S.R. No. 68/2000 Zoological Parks and Gardens (Administration) (Charges) Regulations 2000 4 SCHEDULE 2 ENTRY CHARGES FOR VICTORIA'S OPEN RANGE ZOO AT WERRIBEE (1) Adult (16 years of age or more) $18.00 (2) Child (under 16 years of age) $9.00 (3) Person on official group visit from pre-school, primary school or secondary school $9.00 (4) Full time student (other than a person referred to in paragraph (3)) on presentation of proof of full time enrolment in secondary school or post-secondary educational institution $13.50 (5) Pensioner on presentation of a current pensioner concession card or Health Care Card $13.50 (6) Family (2 adults and up to 2 children aged under 16 years of age) $48.30 (7) Person who is a member of the society known as the "Friends of the Zoos" on presentation of a current membership card $9.00 (8) Person who is a member of an organisation that has similar objectives to the "Friends of the Zoos" in relation to a zoological park outside Victoria on presentation of a current membership card $9.00 (9) Carer in attendance of a physically or intellectually disabled person $9.00'. ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 5 of 6 -- S.R.
