Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prohibit the use of certain fishing equipment used to take rock lobster within 400 metres of the Merri River mouth. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 153 of the Fisheries Act 1995. 3. Prohibition on the use of certain fishing equipment used to take rock lobster within 400 metres of the Merri River After regulation 507(1)(r) of the Fisheries Regulations 1998 1 insert— -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 1/1999 Fisheries (Merri River) Regulations 1999 2 "; and (s) a rock lobster pot or fish trap within 400 metres of the mouth of the Merri River.". ═══════════════ r. 3 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
