No. 72/1999 Friendly Societies (Victoria) Act 1996 Friendly Societies (Amendment) Regulations 1999 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 16 June 1999 Responsible Minister: JAN WADE Minister for Fair Trading STACEY ROBERTSON Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the definition of "financial sector supervising agency" in the Principal Regulations consequential upon the enactment of the Financial Sector Reform (Amendments and Transitional Provisions) Act 1998 of the Commonwealth. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 12 of the Friendly Societies (Victoria) Act 1996. 3. Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Friendly Societies Regulations 1997 1 are called the Principal Regulations. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 72/1999 Friendly Societies (Amendment) Regulations 1999 2 4. Secrecy (1) In regulation 33(1)(a) of the Principal Regulations after "Securities" insert "and Investments".
