No. 99/1999 Gas Safety Act 1997 Gas Safety (Gas Installation) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 3 August 1999 Responsible Minister: ALAN R. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to make consequential amendments to the Gas Safety (Gas Installation) Regulations 1999 because of amendments made to the Gas Safety Act 1997 by the Gas Industry Acts (Amendment) Act 1998. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 118 of the Gas Safety Act 1997. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 September 1999. 4. Principal Regulations -- 2 of 5 -- S.R. No. 99/1999 Gas Safety (Gas Installation) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 2 In these Regulations, the Gas Safety (Gas Installation) Regulations 19991 are called the Principal Regulations. 5. Type A gas installation In regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations, for ' "Type A gas installation" ' (wherever occurring) substitute ' "standard gas installation" '. 6. Prescribed Type A gas installations In regulation 29 of the Principal Regulations, for "Type A gas installation" substitute "standard gas installation". 7. Notice of LP Gas installations In regulation 33 of the Principal Regulations, for "Type A gas installation" substitute "standard gas installation". 8. Connection of gas to installation In regulation 34 of the Principal Regulations— (a) for "Type B gas installation" substitute "complex gas installation"; (b) for "Type A gas installation" substitute "standard gas installation". 9. Amendment to heading to Schedule 8 In the heading to Schedule 8 to the Principal Regulations, for "TYPE B GAS INSTALLATION" substitute "COMPLEX GAS INSTALLATION". 10. Amendment to heading to Schedule 11 r. 10 -- 3 of 5 -- S.R. No. 99/1999 Gas Safety (Gas Installation) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 3 In the heading to Schedule 11 to the Principal Regulations, for "TYPE A GAS INSTALLATION" substitute "STANDARD GAS INSTALLATION". ═══════════════ -- 4 of 5 -- S.R.
