Objectives The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 1999 to prescribe a further substance as liquor for the purposes of the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 3(1) and 180 of the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. 3. Amendment of objectives In regulation 1(a) of the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 1999 1 for "a substance" substitute "substances". -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 18/1999 Liquor Control Reform (Prescribed Substance) Regulations 1999 2 4. New regulation 4 substituted For regulation 4 of the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 1999 substitute— '4. Substances prescribed as liquor For the purposes of the definition of "liquor" in section 3(1) of the Act, the following are prescribed substances— (a) an alcohol-based food essence that is supplied by retail; (b) a food preparation that is intended for consumption in a frozen form.'. ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
