No. 15/1998 Business Franchise (Tobacco) Act 1974 Business Franchise (Petroleum Products) Act 1979 Business Franchise (Tobacco and Petroleum Products) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 3 March 1998 Responsible Minister: ALAN R. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to revoke regulations and forms in the Business Franchise (Tobacco and Petroleum Products) Regulations 1992 as a result of the passage of the Business Franchise Fees (Safety Net) Act 1997. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under section 22 of the Business Franchise (Tobacco) Act 1974. 3. Principal Regulations In these Regulations the Business Franchise (Tobacco and Petroleum Products) Regulations 1992 1 are called the Principal Regulations. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 15/1998 Business Franchise (Tobacco and Petroleum Products) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 2 4. Amendment of objectives of Principal Regulations In regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations— (a) paragraphs (a) and (b) are revoked; (b) in paragraph (c) omit "other". 5. New regulation 3 substituted For regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations substitute— "3. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 15(3), 18A(3), 19BC(2), 19EA(2) and 22 of the Business Franchise (Tobacco) Act 1974.". 6. Revocation of regulations and forms In the Principal Regulations— (a) regulations 4, 5, 5A, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 14A, 17 and 18 are revoked; (b) Schedule 1 is revoked; (c) in Schedule 2 all forms except Form 14 are revoked. ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
