No. 10/1998 Health Services Act 1988 Health Services (Private Hospitals and Day Procedure Centres) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 10 February 1998 Responsible Minister: ROB KNOWLES Minister for Health SHARNE BRYAN Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to alter the list of prescribed kinds of health services which may be carried out on the premises of private hospitals and day procedure centres. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 85, 92 and 158 of the Health Services Act 1988. 3. Principal Regulations In these Regulations the Health Services (Private Hospitals and Day Procedure Centres) Regulations 1991 1 are called the Principal Regulations. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. Prescribed health services—private hospitals In Schedule 8 to the Principal Regulations, for item 9 substitute— "9. Infertility Treatment The provision by a registered medical practitioner of services of the kind defined as a treatment procedure in the Infertility Treatment Act 1995.". 5. Prescribed health services—day procedure centres In Schedule 9 to the Principal Regulations, after item 3 insert— "4. Infertility Treatment The provision by a registered medical practitioner of services of the kind defined as a treatment procedure in the Infertility Treatment Act 1995.". ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
