No. 136/1998 Meat Industry Act 1993 Meat Industry (Amendment) Regulations 1998 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 10 November 1998 Responsible Minister: PATRICK McNAMARA Minister for Agriculture and Resources STACEY ROBERTSON Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe buffalo and rabbit as consumable animals for the purpose of section 3 of the Meat Industry Act 1993. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 3 and 78 of the Meat Industry Act 1993. 3. Prescription of buffalo and rabbit as consumable animals In regulation 7 of the Meat Industry Regulations 19941 after paragraph (b) insert— "(c) buffalo; (d) rabbit, if not living in a wild state.". ═══════════════ -- 2 of 3 -- S.R.
