No. 91/1998 Patriotic Funds Act 1958 Patriotic Funds (Travelling Expenses) Regulations 1998 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 14 July 1998 Responsible Minister: JAN WADE Minister for Fair Trading STACEY ROBERTSON Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to provide for travelling expenses payable to members of the Patriotic Funds Council of Victoria. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 4(6) and 31 of the Patriotic Funds Act 1958. 3. Definition In these Regulations— "the Act" means the Patriotic Funds Act 1958. 4. Travelling expenses -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 91/1998 Patriotic Funds (Travelling Expenses) Regulations 1998 2 If, in the course of exercising any powers, duties and functions of the council under the Act, a member of the council incurs expenses for travel to and from his or her usual place of residence or business and the place where the council is meeting and— (a) the member's private vehicle is used for the travel, the member is entitled to be paid an amount calculated in accordance with the appropriate rate shown in Table A; (b) the member travels by public transport, the member is entitled to be reimbursed for the amount actually paid for the travel not exceeding the amount specified in Table B for that mode of travel, provided that the mode of travel is reasonable and appropriate in the circumstances.
