Road Safety (Procedures) (Unlicensed Driving)
Regulations 1998
The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's Deputy with the
advice of the Executive Council makes the following
Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the
traffic infringement penalty for unlicensed
driving.
2. Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of
the Road Safety Act 1986.
3. Amendment of Schedule 6
In Schedule 6 to the Road Safety (Procedures)
Regulations 1988 1 —
(a) after the heading "Licensing and
Registration", before the item relating to
code 2108 insert—

"2105 Unlicensed driving by the
holder of a licence or
permit issued in Australia
(other than Victoria) or
another country that is
appropriate for the vehicle
being driven but the holder
has resided continuously in
Victoria for 3 or more
months immediately before
the time of driving.

2106 Unlicensed driving in the
circumstances set out in
paragraphs (a) and (b) of
section 18(2), namely when
a previous licence or
International Driving
Permit has expired and the
licence has not been
cancelled for an offence.

those referred to in codes
2105 and 2106 .
