No. 56/1997 Audit Act 1994 Audit (Public Bodies) (Amendment) Regulations 1997 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 24 June 1997 Responsible Minister: ROGER M. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to omit certain bodies for the purposes of the definition of "public body" in section 3 of the Audit Act 1994. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 3 and 21 of the Audit Act 1994. 3. Commencement (1) These Regulations (other than regulation 5) come into operation on 30 June 1997. (2) Regulation 5 comes into operation on 1 July 1997. 4. Bodies omitted from Schedule In the Schedule to the Audit (Public Bodies) Regulations 1995 1 omit— -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 56/1997 Audit (Public Bodies) (Amendment) Regulations 1997 2 (a) "Trustees of the Gas and Fuel Corporation Superannuation Fund"; (b) "Trustees of the Melbourne Water Corporation Employees Superannuation Fund"; (c) "Trustees of the VEI Superannuation Fund"; (d) "Trustees of the Zoological Board of Victoria Superannuation Fund". 5. Further bodies omitted from Schedule In the Schedule to the Audit (Public Bodies) Regulations 1995 omit— (a) "Coal Mine Workers' Pension Tribunal"; (b) "Trustees of the Holmesglen Constructions Superannuation Plan"; (c) "Trustees of the Port of Geelong Authority Superannuation Fund". ═══════════════ r. 5 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
