No. 119/1997 Health Act 1958 Health (Pest Control Operators) (Amendment) Regulations 1997 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 28 October 1997 Responsible Minister: ROB KNOWLES Minister for Health SHARNE BRYAN Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objectives The objectives of these Regulations are— (a) to provide a particular exemption for Borate salts from; and (b) insert two new approved courses in Schedule 2 to— the Health (Pest Control Operators) Regulations 19921 . 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 108C(2)(b), 108H, 390(1) and 391 of the Health Act 1958. 3. Principal Regulations -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 119/1997 Health (Pest Control Operators) (Amendment) Regulations 2 In these Regulations the Health (Pest Control Operators) Regulations 1992 1 are called the Principal Regulations. 4. Amendment to Schedule 1 In Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations, in the list of Fungicides, before "Copper salts" insert "Borate salts". 5. Amendments to Schedule 2 In Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations— (a) in Part 1, in the item relating to Victoria, after the item listed relating to ''Certificate in Pest Control" insert— "Mosquito Identification and Control Training Course (conducted by the Department);"; and (b) in Part 2, in the item relating to Victoria, before the item listed relating to "Advanced Certificate in Horticulture" insert— "Advanced Certificate in Farming (conducted by Victorian Colleges of TAFE and Victorian College of Agriculture and Horticulture);". ═══════════════ -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
