No. 47/1997 Lotteries Gaming and Betting Act 1966 Lotteries Gaming and Betting (Fees) Regulations 1997 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 3 June 1997 Responsible Minister: TOM REYNOLDS Minister for Sport N. WHITE Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe fees which are to accompany applications for— (a) an approval to conduct Calcutta Sweepstakes; and (b) an authority to provide pre-recorded information on sporting contingencies and betting. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 5AAA, 40(3BA) and 86 of the Lotteries Gaming and Betting Act 1966. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 3 June 1997. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 47/1997 Lotteries Gaming and Betting (Fees) Regulations 1997 2 4. Revocation The Lotteries Gaming and Betting (Calcutta Sweepstakes) Regulations 19921 are revoked. 5. Definition In these Regulations, "Act" means Lotteries Gaming and Betting Act 1966. 6. Fee for an application for approval to conduct Calcutta Sweepstakes For the purposes of section 5AAA(2) of the Act, the prescribed fee is $100. 7. Fee under section 40(3BA) For the purposes of section 40(3BA) of the Act, the prescribed fee is $150. ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
