Objectives The objective of these Regulations is to insert certain increased marine infringement penalties due to a slip in the Marine (Infringement) Regulations 1996 1 . 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 60 and 105 of the Marine Act 1988. 3. Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Marine (Procedures) Regulations 1989 2 are called the Principal Regulations. 4. Amended Marine Infringement Penalties In the Table in regulation 301 of the Principal Regulations— -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 8/1997 Marine (Procedures) (Infringement) Regulations 1997 2 (a) after "Equipment Offences—Recreational vessels" insert— " 52. Failing to carry lifejacket or personal flotation device for each person on board M(V)R R603 80"; (b) in Column 4 opposite Code 87, for "100" substitute "200". ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
