No. 3/1996 Club Keno Act 1993 Tattersall Consultations Act 1958 Club Keno (Amendment) Regulations 1996 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 16 January 1996 Responsible Minister: HADDON STOREY Minister for Gaming KATHY WILSON Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Principal Regulations— (a) to prescribe a class of persons who may from time to time determine, apply, dispense with or regulate any matter or thing; and (b) to make provision for a person belonging to that class of persons to approve certain matters. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under section 15 of the Club Keno Act 1993 and section 11 of the Tattersall Consultations Act 1958. -- 2 of 5 -- S.R. No. 3/1996 Club Keno (Amendment) Regulations 1996 2 3. Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the 1 Club Keno Regulations 1994 are called the Principal Regulations. 4. Insertion of new provision After regulation 16 of the Principal Regulations insert— "17. Specified class of persons For the purposes of section 15(2)(d) of the Act, the specified class of persons is the holders for the time being of the following positions— (a) Manager, Compliance and Investigation, Victorian Casino and Gaming Authority; (b) Manager, Systems and Audit, Victorian Casino and Gaming Authority.". 5. Amendment of regulation 5 In regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations, after "Director" (wherever occurring) insert "or a person belonging to the class of persons referred to in regulation 17". 6. Amendment of regulation 14 (1) In regulation 14(1) of the Principal Regulations, for "notified by the Director in writing that the Director has approved the club keno system" substitute "the Director or a person belonging to the class of persons referred to in regulation 17 has notified the participants that he or she has approved the club keno system". r. 3 -- 3 of 5 -- S.R. No. 3/1996 Club Keno (Amendment) Regulations 1996 3 (2) In regulation 14(2) of the Principal Regulations— (a) after "Director" (where first occurring) insert "or a person belonging to the class of persons referred to in regulation 17"; and (b) for "the Director" (where secondly occurring) substitute "he or she". ═══════════════ r. 6 -- 4 of 5 -- S.R.
