No. 117/1996 Lotteries Gaming and Betting Act 1966 Lotteries Gaming and Betting (Raffles and Bingo Permits) (Amendment) Regulations 1996 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 29 October 1996 Responsible Minister: ROGER HALLAM Minister for Gaming A. Objectives The objectives of these Regulations are to amend the Lotteries Gaming and Betting (Raffles and Bingo Permits) Regulations 19921 by— (a) prescribing a fee for an application for a consent to conduct a raffle; (b) amending the fee for an application for a permit to sell lucky envelopes; (c) prescribing a fee for an application for a permit to conduct bingo. 2. Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 6(1AA)(e), 6(7)(bc), 6AB(1), 6AF(f), 6A(2)(f) and 6G(1)(fb) of the Lotteries Gaming and Betting Act 1966. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on the day on which Part 5 of the Gaming Acts (Amendment) Act 1996 comes into operation. 4. Fee for an application for the issue of a consent to conduct a raffle After regulation 14 of the Lotteries Gaming and Betting (Raffles and Bingo Permits) Regulations 1992 insert— "15. Consent fee For the purposes of section 6(1AA)(e) of the Act, the prescribed fee is $28.00.". 5. Fee for an application for the issue of a lucky envelope permit In regulation 32 of the Lotteries Gaming and Betting (Raffles and Bingo Permits) Regulations 1992 for "$12.00" substitute "$36.00". 6. Fee for an application for the issue of a bingo permit In regulation 39 of the Lotteries Gaming and Betting (Raffles and Bingo Permits) Regulations 1992— (a) before "For" insert "(1)"; (b) at the end of the regulation insert— "(2) For the purposes of section 6A(2)(f) of the Act, the prescribed fee is $44.00.". ═══════════════ r. 3 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
