No. 58/1996 Supreme Court Act 1986 Supreme Court Library Fund (Investment) (Amendment) Rules 1996 The Judges of the Supreme Court make the following Rules: 1. Object The object of these Rules is to make miscellaneous amendments to the Principal Rules. 2. Authorising provisions These Rules are made under section 25 of the Supreme Court Act 1986 and all other enabling powers. 3. Principal Rules In these Rules, the Supreme Court Library Fund (Investment) Rules 19921 are called the Principal Rules. 4. Amendment of Rule 7 Rule 7(3) of the Principal Rules is revoked. 5. Amendment of Rule 8 In Rule 8(3) of the Principal Rules— (a) for "sharebroker of at least ten years' standing who is a member of the Australian Stock Exchange" substitute "member of the Australian Stock Exchange of at least ten years' standing"; -- 2 of 5 -- S.R. No. 58/1996 Supreme Court Library Fund (Investment) (Amendment) Rules 1996 2 (b) in sub-paragraph (a) omit "having regard to the principles set out in paragraph (2)"; and (c) for sub-paragraph (b) substitute— "(b) to review— (i) at least once in each year, the performance (individually and as a whole) of the securities in which the Investment Fund is invested; and (ii) the investments made by the Investment Committee as occasion requires— and in each case to recommend any desirable changes.". 6. Substitution of Rule 9 For Rule 9 of the Principal Rules substitute— "9. Investments The Investment Fund shall be invested in securities in accordance with the provisions of the law of the State of Victoria relating to the investment of trust funds." 7.
