(2) Sections 4 and 5 are taken to have commenced on 20 November 2013. Victoria -- 2 of 5 -- Transport Accident Amendment Act 2016 No. 18 of 2016 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel (3) Section 6 is taken to have commenced on 16 October 2013. 3 Repeal of section 46A(2C) and (2D) (1) In section 46A(2)(a)(i) of the Transport Accident Act 1986, for "(2A), (2B) and (2C)" substitute "(2A) and (2B)". (2) Section 46A(2C) and (2D) of the Transport Accident Act 1986 are repealed. (3) In section 46A(6A) of the Transport Accident Act 1986, for "subsections (2C) and (6)" substitute "subsection (6)". 4 Section 61 amended In section 61(2) of the Transport Accident Act 1986, for "or $1000" substitute ", $1000 or $32.50". 5 Repeal of section 93(2A) Section 93(2A) of the Transport Accident Act 1986 is repealed. 6 Repeal of section 93(17A) Section 93(17A) of the Transport Accident Act 1986 is repealed. 7 New Division 8 of Part 11 inserted After Division 7 of Part 11 of the Transport Accident Act 1986 insert— "Division 8—Transport Accident Amendment Act 2016 227 Definition In this Division, amending Act means the Transport Accident Amendment Act 2016. -- 3 of 5 -- Transport Accident Amendment Act 2016 No. 18 of 2016 3 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 227A Amendment of section 61 (Indexation) This Act, as amended by section 4 of the amending Act, applies to all claims, regardless of when the claim was made. 227B Repeal of section 93(2A) This Act, as amended by section 5 of the amending Act, applies to all transport accidents, regardless of when the accident occurred. 227C Repeal of section 93(17A) This Act, as amended by section 6 of the amending Act, applies to an application made on or after 16 October 2013— (a) for a certificate under section 93(4)(c)(ii); or (b) for leave under section 93(4)(d).". 8 Repeal of amending Act This Act is repealed on the first anniversary of the day on which all of its provisions have come into operation.
