Victoria -- 2 of 7 -- Legislation Reform (Repeals No. 5) Act 2010 No. 2 of 2010 2 2 Commencement This Act comes into operation on the day after the day that it receives the Royal Assent. 3 Repeal of Acts The Acts listed in Schedule 1 are repealed. 4 Amendment of Corporations (Ancillary Provisions) Act 2001 The Corporations (Ancillary Provisions) Act 2001 is amended as set out in Schedule 2. 5 Repeal of repealing Act This Act is repealed on the first anniversary of the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. (2) Any provision of the regulations made under this section may be expressed to take effect from a time that is earlier than the beginning of the day on which the regulations containing the provision are made, not being a time earlier than immediately before the day on which the Legislation Reform (Repeals No. 5) Act 2010 receives the Royal Assent. (3) To the extent to which a provision of the regulations made under this section takes effect from a time that is earlier than the beginning of the day on which the regulations containing the provision are made, the provision does not operate so as— (a) to affect in a manner prejudicial to any person (other than the Crown or an authority of the Crown), the rights of that person existing before the date of making of those regulations; or Sch. 2 -- 5 of 7 -- Legislation Reform (Repeals No. 5) Act 2010 No. 2 of 2010 5 (b) to impose liabilities on any person (other than the Crown or an authority of the Crown) in respect of anything done or omitted to be done before the date of making of those regulations.
