i Courts Legislation Amendment (Sunset Provisions) Act 2009 No. 51 of 2009 TABLE OF PROVISIONS Section Page 1 Purposes 1 2 Commencement 2 3 Courts Legislation (Neighbourhood Justice Centre) Act 2006—Deferral of Neighbourhood Justice Centre sunset provisions 2 4 Statute law revision—Courts Legislation (Neighbourhood Justice Centre) Act 2006 2 5 Family Violence Protection Act 2008—Deferral of Family Violence Court Intervention Program sunset provisions 2 6 Repeal of amending Act 3 ═══════════════ ENDNOTES 4 -- 1 of 5 -- 1 Courts Legislation Amendment (Sunset Provisions) Act 2009 † No. 51 of 2009 [Assented to 8 September 2009] The Parliament of Victoria enacts: 1 Purposes The purposes of this Act are— (a) to amend the Courts Legislation (Neighbourhood Justice Centre) Act 2006 to defer the commencement of Part 6 of that Act to enable the continued operation of the Neighbourhood Justice Centre for a further 4 years; and Victoria -- 2 of 5 -- Courts Legislation Amendment (Sunset Provisions) Act 2009 No. 51 of 2009 2 (b) to amend the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 to defer the commencement of Part 15 of that Act to enable the continued operation of the Family Violence Court Intervention Program to 31 December 2013. 2 Commencement This Act comes into operation on the day after the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3 Courts Legislation (Neighbourhood Justice Centre) Act 2006—Deferral of Neighbourhood Justice Centre sunset provisions In section 2(2) of the Courts Legislation (Neighbourhood Justice Centre) Act 2006 for "31 December 2009" substitute "31 December 2013". 4 Statute law revision—Courts Legislation (Neighbourhood Justice Centre) Act 2006 Sections 18 and 20 of the Courts Legislation (Neighbourhood Justice Centre) Act 2006 are repealed. 5 Family Violence Protection Act 2008—Deferral of Family Violence Court Intervention Program sunset provisions After section 3(1) of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 insert— "(1A) Part 15 comes into operation on 31 December 2013.". s. 2 See: Act No. 51/2006.
