(2) If this Act does not come into operation before 1 July 2007, it comes into operation on that day. Victoria -- 2 of 4 -- Control of Weapons Amendment (Penalties) Act 2007 No. 1 of 2007 2 3 New penalty for section 5(1) (prohibited weapons) For the penalty at the foot of section 5(1) of the Control of Weapons Act 1990 substitute— "Penalty: 240 penalty units or imprisonment for 2 years.". 4 New penalty for section 6(1) (controlled weapons) For the penalty at the foot of section 6(1) of the Control of Weapons Act 1990 substitute— "Penalty: 120 penalty units or imprisonment for 1 year.". 5 Repeal of Act This Act is repealed on 1 July 2008. ═══════════════ s. 3 See: Act No. 24/1990.
